The Nuptials

We have reserved a room block at The Westin Hotel Michigan Avenue. It is located right across the street from The Drake. Frequent Questions

The wedding attire is formal.  We invite ladies to dress in elegant evening wear, such as floor-length gowns or refined cocktail dresses. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear tuxedos or dark suits with ties. 

The wedding is RSVP only. Because of venue size restrictions, we've thoughtfully planned our guest list, so we kindly ask that you RSVP only for those listed on the invitation.

The RSVP deadline is May 15, 2026. 

Please mail back the RSVP card included with your invitation and indicate which events you plan to attend. Please do not text, call, or email your response as these may get lost in the shuffle and you may not have a seat. 

While there are many great hotel options in downtown Chicago, we recommend staying at either The Drake Hotel or The Westin simply for the convenience of being walking distance to the venues and not having to deal with traffic or parking.

Please arrive 15 - 30 minutes early so our ceremony can start promptly at 4:30 PM. This will allow ample time to find a great seat and keep you from walking down the aisle with the bride. 

Guests can valet park at the hotel or self-park at several nearby public garages. Uber or Lyft are readily available if you prefer to not drive.

Yes, please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies with your RSVP, and we will gladly accommodate.

After the ceremony, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with an open bar and light bites as the wedding party takes pictures nearby. After the cocktail hour, we’ll begin the reception where there will be dinner, speeches, and dancing all night long.

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that you turn off your phone, iPad, tablet, and camera during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to take photos of our special day and request that you be present with us in the most important part of the day.

Please take as many pictures as you would like before and after the ceremony though - we can’t wait to see them all!
